On 06 May 2024, the WISE-Futures Centre hosted a public lecture on ‘Water Security and Climate Change in Africa” at NM-AIST. The key speaker in the public Lecture was Professor. Declan Conway from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. The talk was attended by 55 physical participants and 17 online participants both students from NM-AIST, Makumira University and faculty members.

During this presentation Prof. Declan Conway summarises key issues and recent findings discussed during the talk and asks how African nations can best prepare for the effects and consequences of climate change.
