Through a competitive process, NM-AIST submitted a proposal in 2020 among Forty-four (44) universities from nineteen (19) countries across Africa based on the quality and relevance of their projects and was among the six (6) African universities were selected, namely:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li style=\"font-family: 'Arial'; font-size: 12pt;\" align=\"justify\">The C-CoDE at NM-AIST is designed to support the transformation of training and educational practices through digital tools and technologies in Tanzania and in the broader region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: 'Arial'; font-size: 12pt;\" align=\"justify\"><strong>Objective of C-CoDE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li style=\"font-family: 'Arial'; font-size: 12pt;\">Aim to promote the sustainable integration of digital education in African universities as a means to strengthen the quality of teaching and, ultimately, the competencies of graduates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: 'Arial'; font-size: 12pt;\" align=\"justify\"><strong>Inauguration of C-Code (<\/strong><strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> October 2023)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li style=\"font-family: 'Arial'; font-size: 12pt;\" align=\"justify\">Also, the launch of the centre was attended by Deputy Ambassador from Switzerland to Tanzania Mr. Holger Tausch, Director from EPFL Dr.J\u00e9r\u00f4me Chenal, Project Manager EPFL Dr.Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Meylan, Project Officer EPFL Lisa Myers, Dr. Rafiq El Alami from UM6P and Representative from Arusha Regional Administrative secretary Mr. David Lyamongi, &nbsp;Mr. Aloyce Shirima and Ms. Hannah Simmons from Silverleaf Academy, Keynote speaker from UDSM Prof. Joel S.
