On 30th September 2020, a delegation from the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) visited the NM-AIST to familiarise with the institution activities after a week-long legal-related training in Arusha. Upon arrival, the NM-AIST Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel J. Luoga, greeted the delegation and provided a brief presentation of the current and planned institution activities, including the introduction to the upcoming Forensic Language short course, tailor-made cybersecurity module targeting to enhance the capacity of the financial institution and law enforcement agents to combat cybercrime.
The delegation took a brief tour of the NM-AIST Tengeru campus, where they visited laboratories and the centre for Water Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy Futures (WISE – Futures). At the centre, Ms. Grace Cusack, the Centre Manager, presented centre activities and achievements.
The BOT delegation was delighted by the activities conducted by the institution. On behalf of the BOT delegation, Mr. Serili Denis, the assistant Manager Legal Secretarial Services at BoT expressed his appreciation to the Management of the NM-AIST for carrying out such a vigour mission of transforming Higher Learning Institution to a hub of industrialization through its cutting-edge innovations.
